Privacy policy for the contact form and the visitor statistics
What information is collected
Only the fields you fill in yourself: name, email address, an optional phone number and your message. Nothing else is collected through the form — no IP address, no information about your browser or device, and no hidden fields.
What the information is used for
The information is sent as an ordinary email to PSL AB, so that Mathias Lindqvist can get back to you — by email or phone, depending on what you have provided. The information is not used for any other purpose.
How long the information is kept
The form itself stores nothing in your browser (no local storage, no cookies). The fields you fill in (name, email, phone, message) are never written to any log by us — they exist only in the email that is sent. The hosting platform that runs the contact form (Azure) keeps its own technical operational telemetry about each request (time, response time, outcome) for troubleshooting; it does not contain the fields you filled in. The email is sent through Azure Communication Services, which stores its data in Europe, to a mailbox that PSL AB manages itself. After that, the message is handled as ordinary email, according to PSL AB's own procedures for it.
Visitor statistics
We use a service called Umami to count visits and to see which pages are read and where visitors come from. When a page is opened, Umami's script is loaded from Umami's servers, so your browser contacts Umami.
No cookies are used, and no names or contact details are collected. Umami records which pages are viewed (address and page title), which page you came from, your approximate location, browser, operating system, type of device, screen size and language setting. Search parameters in the address are not sent. If your browser has the Do Not Track signal switched on, your visit is not recorded in the statistics. Your IP address is not stored in the statistics: Umami uses it briefly to handle the request, work out your approximate location and calculate a visitor ID (together with details such as your browser), without cookies. Umami may record IP addresses in its operational and security logs, which are kept separate from the statistics.
The statistics are stored in the EU. That does not mean every step takes place in the EU: Umami states that, among other things, CDN, security, support and logging may involve services outside the region. Umami Software Inc. is a US company. Where data is transferred to the US, it is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914), which are part of Umami's data processing agreement with us.
On the plan we use, the statistics are kept for six months.
